Four new patents protecting Vanderbilt intellectual property were assigned during the month of August. The technologies represent fields such as neuroscience, cellular biology, molecular biology, cancer therapy, and diagnostics. They are:
- 8,506,887 Porous membrane waveguide sensors and sensing systems therefrom for detecting biological or chemical targets
- 8,502,985 Microfluidic systems
- 8,501,757 Substituted phenylamine carboxamide analogs as mGluR5 negative allosteric modulators and methods of making and using the same
- 8,501,417 Immunological compositions as cancer biomarkers and/or therapeutics
