Tuesday, April 23, CTTC participated in TechVille 2013, a technology conference hosted by the Nashville Technology Council. We were fortunate to have a trio of Vanderbilt engineers at our booth that included Andrew Sternberg and Barry Templeton, engineers at Vanderbilt's Institute for Space and Defense Electronics, and Richard Hendrick, a graduate student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Sternberg and Templeton brought a CubeSat to show visitors. Three of the small satellites are being designed by the team at ISDE and will be launched into orbit later this year to test radiation effects on electronics.
Hendrick brought an endonasal graft replacement tool, which he helped design and build, that is used to repair skull base defects. Both technologies drew significant interest from conference attendees and gave us an opportunity to showcase the impressive work of our colleagues at VUSE.
