A potential schizophrenia treatment discovered through the Warren Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in phase 1 clinical trials—the third WCNDD therapeutic to reach that benchmark.

VUMC begins study of second COVID-19 vaccine

Vanderbilt University Medical Center has begun recruiting up to 250 participants for a phase 3 clinical trial testing an investigational COVID-19 vaccine candidate developed by the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson.

Clinical study tests drug that may prevent cancer metastasis

The study will test the drug ifetroban in patients who have completed cancer treatment for one of five cancer types and have no evidence of disease, but who are at very high risk for cancer recurrence.
